Demolition Derby

“The demolition of more than 500 Bensenville homes to make room for a new O’Hare Airport runway was delayed for at least 30 days on Monday by DuPage Judge Kenneth Popejoy,” the Tribune reports.

“Popejoy, who last week ruled that Chicago could begin demolition of the properties, said that he was issuing the order to allow attorneys for Bensenville to file an appeal with the 2nd District Illinois Appellate Court of his ruling.”

Mayor Daley, reacting from Beijing, ordered city workers to demolish Popejoy’s home and carve a giant X in his driveway.

    These judges are idiots!
Either the city has the right to flatten the house it’s already bought or the whole deal is off.
This going back & forth to the same judges reeks of cronyism, corrupt Illinois politics [Is there any other kind?], corrupt judges & total incompetence on everyone in this mess.
Send it on to the state supreme court & end it one way or another.
    This is turning into the corrupt & connected legal full employment project of 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, ad infinitum!

Lawyers: the only good one is a dead one!
