“At a time when airlines are struggling to stay alive and O’Hare Airport needs $1.5 billion in capital funding, Chicago cannot afford to spend $2 million on an elaborate airport display of stained glass cabinets, a top mayoral aide said today,” the Sun-Times reports.
That doesn’t mean the city will forego the exhibit though; it will just scale it down.
“I don’t necessarily believe it’s a terrible idea,” said Aviation Commissioner Richard Rodriguez. “I’d like to do a little something. I just don’t know what percentage we could afford.”
How about 100 percent of 0?

often when bidding on stained glass jobs, we find that the jobs are extremely over-priced. Local stained glass artists are begging for opportunities to bid on such projects and to offer a more reasonable bid. Please foreward our www onto the proper bidding authorities. Thanks.
