Mayor Daley is backing Ald. Dick Mell’s effort to write an amnesty law that would forgive him for failing to re-register his private arsenal of guns, as required by law.
“A lot of people go back and forth to their summer homes,” Daley explained, reasoning how folks could forget to re-register their shotguns.
A) If Daley was the Democratic presidential nominee, we’d be talking about his elitism today.
B) In the meantime, can’t Mell be arrested? Or fined? Or lose his guns? What are the cops waiting for?
C) Maybe Daley needs Mell for the upcoming Children’s Museum vote. Attention, aldermen, the store is now open.
